What documents are needed to port a phone number?
We only need three things:
- Valid government ID: Verify your identity and keep your number safe. 
- Current provider invoice: Less than 3 months old, with the phone number, Address, Name, and contract ID listed. 
- Porting pin: Provided by your current provider's support team. 
How long does it take to port a number?
The speed of porting a number depends on how fast we hear back from your carrier. The process may take 3-5 business days.
Things to remember before moving your number
- Don't cancel your account with your current provider until the porting process is complete. Please only close your account once it's done, to avoid any potential service interruption. 
- Ring4 does not support either calls or texts to 911. 
- You won’t be able to transfer your existing phone and text conversations to Ring4.
