Why is my Ring4 account restricted, limited, or locked?

If your Ring4 account has been restricted, limited, or locked, it is likely due to one of the following reasons:

1. Country-Based Restrictions

Ring4 services are not available in certain countries due to compliance policies. If your account was created or accessed from a restricted country, it will be limited, and this restriction cannot be lifted. Examples of restricted countries include Laos, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Cambodia, and Myanmar. Even if your app store region is in a supported country, the actual location of your login session determines the restriction.

2. Violations of Terms of Service

Your account may be restricted or locked if it violates Ring4’s Terms of Service or Fair Use Policy. Common violations include:

  • Sending multiple or repeated messages in a short period.

  • Sending unwanted or illegal messages.

  • Sharing content related to SHAFT (sex, hate, alcohol, firearms, tobacco).

  • Engaging in abuse, impersonation, or fraudulent activities.

Such violations can lead to permanent account suspension or number blocking. Restrictions due to policy violations cannot be reversed.

3. Technical Limitations

Ring4 does not support the use of VoIP phone numbers for account verification. If your account was verified with a VoIP number, it may be limited. To resolve this, use a non-VoIP (mobile carrier) number for verification.

4. Steps to Avoid Restrictions

To prevent your account from being restricted in the future:

  • Avoid creating or accessing your account from restricted countries.

  • Follow Ring4’s Terms of Service and Fair Use Policy.

  • Do not send multiple or repeated messages in a short timeframe.

  • Use a non-VoIP phone number for account verification.

5. Non-Reversibility of Restrictions

Restrictions imposed due to country-based limitations or policy violations are permanent and cannot be lifted. If your account is suspended, you should cancel your subscription to stop future billing. Follow the standard cancellation steps outlined in the Ring4 support guide.
